Prayer for the faithful departed.
God of mercy and love, we place in your loving hands our brothers and sisters whom you have called from this life to your presence. In this life you showed them your great love, and now that they are free from all worry, grant them to pass safely through the gates of death and enjoy eternal light and peace. Having finished their earthly life, receive them into paradise, where there will be no more sadness or pain, but only happiness and joy with Jesus, your Son, and with the Holy Spirit, forever. Amen.
